Churchgoers Believe in Sharing Faith, but Most Never Do

A study conducted by LifeWay Research found 80% of those who attend church one or more times a month believe they have a personal responsibility to share their faith, but 61% have not told another person about how to become a Christian in the previous six months.

God’s Plan of Salvation

I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.'”

In the Bible, God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How?

For All Have Sinned:

First, you must realize you are a sinner. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23. Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death.

The Wages of Sin is Death:

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23. This includes eternal separation from God in Hell. “... it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27.

Christ Died for You:

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18

You Must Repent:

"I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish." Luke 13:3

 You Must Believe:

“If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10

Assurance:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

 Additional Verses for Salvation:

“But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” Lev. 17:11.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8.
