Bibles for Disciples - Guérin-Kouka Village, North Togo, West Africa

For His Glory…

In June of 2024 we held our 2nd Brown to Green Equipping and Empowering conference in Togo, West Africa. This year’s conference was facilitated entirely by 3rd and 4th generation disciple makers all indigenous to Togo. Unlike last year’s conference which was held in the Southern part of Togo, this year’s conference was held in the North of Togo. The village of Guérin-Koula is a highly contested spiritual battle ground actively participating in child sacrifice and idol worship.

By all accounts the conference was a huge success with 87 souls confessing Jesus as Lord of their lives and receiving salvation!!

After the conference in June, while debriefing the team we heard their three biggest observations: the need for Bibles, the need for workers in the North and at the need for teaching about persecution.

The workers are rising up and equipping the saints, but the need for Bibles is still there.

“they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.” - 2 Corinthians 8:4

So the ask is simply to partner with us, as the Lord leads you, in funding the purchase of Bibles. Specifically, we are asking the Lord to provide the other 75% of the need or 150 Bibles at $15 USD each.

“Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” - 2 Corinthians 8:13-15

My wife and I have a burden, a difficulty that we had encountered in the process of discipleship is that people do not have a Bible. Most recently the training that we did in the North in Guérin Koula, people ask us for the Bible. My wife and I are in the process of to safeguard little by little money to try to buy each of the a Bible in January 15th, 2025. Please pray for us and talk to those around you, if there are people of good will who can support us.

My wife and I wanted to give 200 Bibles. We are currently at 25% of the project, but the Lord is faithful, how can they walk with God if they do not have His Word?

It is a burden the Lord has placed on me and my wife. But we rely on the Lord. Please pray with us!

One Bible cost $15 USD. We want to give 200 Bibles! We want to give 200 because we were able to train this number last June. This is why I am writing you this message. Please accept my dear friends.
